promoting financial literacy

Callahan’s Cleveland Diary » Blog Archive » New “Foreclosing Cleveland” blog -- Bill's finally acknowledged that the topic was taking over his Cleveland Diary, and now it has a life of its own. This is important work he's doing, and the Foreclosing Cleveland blog goes into my sidebar soon. Bill is compassionate, articulate, literate, and "numerate," which I guess is the obverse of "innumerate," the sibling of "illiterate."

  1. certainly, he is a smart guy. seems to be pretty partisan in his beliefs. he cites the inability to recruit republican crossover votes as a democratic failure to achieve desired results. funny thing is that there are no republicans at the local level whose votes need to swayed after they have been "enlightened." look where total one party rule (democrat) has gotten us. who is the minority leader and minority whip in city council? oh yeah, there is none - my bad.

  2. I don't think this foreclosure thing is about partisanship at all, at least I really hope it's not. It's about community, and Bill understands it when one group tries to gain ascendancy over another or eat their lunch, as is happening now with the systematic looting of the equity of the American middle class.

  3. i don't see his boy dennis doing anything about it. keep voting for "the friend of the workin man" boys. i think we should blame it on the evil republicans. oh yeah, there are no republicans to blame it on. sorry, lost my head there for a second.

  4. And I don't think dennis will ever do anything about it. There are certain things you can just about count on.

It's probably time for Bill to disaffiliate, if he hasn't already. The dennis crowd reminds me of the Jim Jones crowd sometimes; did anyone in the latter opt out of the final quaff of koolaid?

Again, forget this partisan stuff. It's about people, our neighbors, our fellow man. Come by here. Kumbaya.

  5. i will come by in due course. now is not the time. vote for judge cassidy on tuesday. common sense approach without regard to partisan influence. of course, she was denied the opportunity to speak to the democratic ward clubs. they're trying to rig it again so that the people are left in the dark and their cronies get elected. buck the system, because it is buckin you.
